The EAL Hub was created in 2018 by teachers for teachers and was designed to provide high quality, scaffolding resources for EAL learners, keeping them in the classroom as much as possible. There was a distinct lack of resources available that supported children learning English in a way that was pedagogically sound and also easily accessible. EAL HUB bridged this gap and now provides over 1500 resources that are ready to start making your life easier, whilst supporting EAL learners as much as they need.
We aim to offer teachers and leaders easy to access, time saving, high quality inclusive resources that genuinely support the needs of learners in their classrooms.
We are also partnered with EAL STAR to bring you an awesome new EAL ASSESSMENT PLATFORM which will save you so much time in assessing and tracking your EAL learners.
EAL Hub launched almost 7 years ago and has gone from strength to strength in that time. There are now over 2000 resources on the site from reading packs to picture book support, videos, vocabulary boosting resources and topic related support packs. We regularly add new resources and have a team of content creators devising exciting new concepts all the time. We are also always happy to take requests for books or key resources so get in touch if you can’t see what you are looking for! EAL Hub is being used in over 25 countries worldwide already!

One of the biggest differences between EAL Star and other platforms is that it is intuitive, it knows when a child is struggling, or when they have reached their limit and it ends the test. This removes the struggle EAL learners often face during assessment where they have to complete the whole thing regardless of proficiency.
It also saves YOU time because those at the earliest stages will take a very short test. In addition to this, the system is also able to learn from teacher marked areas and is constantly building a database of accepted answers so eventually the need to mark at all will be largely removed.
